Sivan is the third month of the Hebrew spiritual year.
"I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life." Psalms 119:93
The Hebrew month of Sivan: May 24th - June 23
Sivan is the month that the Israelites "Camped at the foot" of Mount Sinai and received the Ten Commandments. In Sivan there is space and time to "camp" at the foot of the Throne in total devotion to God's law. Sit still, waiting as long as it takes, until you learn (gain or acquire knowledge of or skill in something by study, experience, or being taught) how the matter, thing, question, or cause will turn out. Christ Jesus will not by any means be idle, or silent, or have any peace until He finishes His purposes.
"Thy Word is a lamp to my feet" shows a strong sense of walking, or progress. As a follower of the Way, we should be always increasing our commitment to the Torah and to the Almighty, the Giver of the Torah. It is the Word of the Torah that lights the path ahead. Often we'll only be offered the view of the next step, but we will never be left alone or in darkness. Take the next right step.
Sivan is a time to be enlarged in a community of faith. Although God loves you singly and individually, you grasp the love of God with others in a way that you cannot alone. Cultivate unity through generosity and be attentive to hearing God's heart for those in your life. Allow God to show you how He sees people, then generously share that with them!
"The one who walks in integrity will experience a fearless confidence in life, but the one who is devious will eventually be exposed." Proverbs 10:0 TPT When someone asks you, “How are you doing?” you can answer honestly, “It is well,” regardless of our circumstances, because it is so. Be blessed with God’s unshakable peace from the inside out, as your heart knows His fullness through devotion to His law that you meditate on day and night.
