Av is the fifth month of the Hebrew spiritual year.
"I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him." 2 Timothy 1:12
The Hebrew month of Av is July 21 - August 20, 2020
With an open Bible, praise the praises and plead the promises. Standing on the promises found in the Word is a powerful form of prayer. We know with certainty that God keeps His promises. Praying God's word causes your heart to come into agreement with what God says. Even Jesus prayed the scriptures during temptation, and from the cross.
Your Bible is a promise book from God. Pray it over your life, and the lives on those you love, and even over the world that is in so much turmoil. Av is a time to focus on the truth of God's promises and set a guard over your heart to prevent you from being distracted by discouragement or by what you see that doesn't seen to line up with what you expected.
Praying the Word of God is God-centered praying vs a self-centered shopping-list prayer. Praying this way ensures you are conversing with God according to the mind of Christ. The best place for you to abide is in God's will and ways.
God delights to fulfill His word. You can wholly trust that He is working, that He will fulfill, and His word lasts forever. Gazing at the problem then simply glancing at God inflates the problem and causes it to look much more giant that God. Fix your gaze on God and the promises in His word, and limited your look at the problem to a quick glance, then your faith will grow in His abundant ability to supply all you need. Be on the watch that you do not exalt problems, but that you Magnify and worship God.
